Who is Eric Moore...?

RG for the Jets. He's better then Slauson IMO, he's among the better run blockers and would really help out Murray. He's old (around 33 if I remember correctly), but not a bad player at all.

So how much cap space are we gong to have now? Maybe we can sign 1 or a few of these guys.

FS - M.Huff
OG - B.Moore
OG- M.Slausen
OLB - J.Durant

or maybe even RT A.Smith Very Happy

We could probably cut Free and sign Smith without the Romo deal. Which is something I think we should have done already.

Well wtf! Get on it Jerruh!!!!

I see two OGs on the list, but no RT! What does that say about the draft? We know, or are pretty sure, that Free is gonna get canned, so at the very least, we need a 3rd OT. Hmmmm.

A.Smith is on the list and he is a RT. Not just a RT but one of the best and youngest RT's in the league plus he is a monster. Sign him and draft Warmack Shocked

Yeah, I saw that, but the other guys are actually in or coming in for visits, correct? You just added Smith as a wish? I would certainly love Smith or even Winston in FA, along with Huff. I think that would make our draft go much better!

Yeah your right, Smith is just on my personal wish list. Winston would be a good sign as well. I don't see why in the hell we don't just cut Free right now and go after Smith / Winston / or even Vollmer

@RapSheet: Doesn't sound like #Cowboys plan to immediately sign any of the safeties they worked out: Michael Huff or Will Allen. Means no Romo ext done

I think they want to hang onto him until June 1 when he would provide more cap relief.

I happy that its being reported that Romo will only get a 4 year deal, but is anybody else surprised at the 17 mill. per year? So he will cost as much as Rivers, and more than Brady and Big Ben...

I think it's cheap. On the open market Romo would get at least 20m. He will cost us 16.5 this year and at least 20 next year if we franchise him. If he's going to sign a multi year deal it would have to improve on 2 year, 37m (18.5 a year) or it's not worth it for him.

The problem is I don't think what Graziano reported will be the deal.

Just for giggles, I looked at 2016:

Flacco - 29M
Brees - 27M
Manning - 19M
Schaub - 19M
Palmer - 17M
Brady - 14M
Sanchez - 14M
Orton - 5M

Those are the top 8 contracts. Laughing Laughing

Slam - MB is younger and has a shorter contract worth less dollars. Livings is older, less versatile and more expensive. It would make sense to keep him.

Which I don't think is true since I am pretty sure Orton is in the last year of his deal. So 2016 seems to be a made up number.

He's signed through 2016, but I believe he has voidable years in 2015 and 2016.

Really? I don't know why I thought it was a 3 year deal. Confused
from the research that i have done on the Cap, i found Orton actually has a team option clause not a player option clause for 2015 and 2016. Each year is set at 2 mil base salary.

Theres 2 Eric Moores. One is indeed a O-linemen but he is listed at 48 years old...and the other one is a DE and is 32.

So what I take from this is no one actually knows what's going on but the Cowboys and that's not a bad thing.

$17m a year is an outrageous number for a QB who has won exactly one playoff game.

A fantastic signing for the NFC East all the way around.
