No not at all look at green bay arron has all those options what my point is we could have 3 wide outs and 2 tes that u cant double cover anyone myers would just be a one year stop gap for Robinson.. eifert would help eli also when eli is son the run to have a guy that can run after the catch to get a first down. Also myers is a liability on pass and run protection

To Myers defense on blocking he was dealing with a AC Joint issue in his shoulder most of the season.

My thing is that there are so many other options that I would look at in the first before TE.

OL, FS, DE, CB

Just think that at 19 the best player available isn't going to be Tyler at least I hope not.

I see ur point but I would still take eifert if and only if tank and werner are gone cruz is gona sign that deal and we get a major tv deal next yeat which would pay for nicks and jjp I read that some where I don't remember where. I wouldn't take olgertree I just get a bad feeling from him I would take eifert and next year I would trade or xut myers

The salary cap is not going to go up as much as you are thinking

There is not enough reps on our offense in order to satisfy the potential salaries of Nicks, Cruz, Eifert, Randle, Wilson

If we draft Eifert, Cruz or Nicks must go

I know but back to your previous thing, I am just making it clear that if Eifert is selected it means good bye to Cruz or Nicks

So your scenario is we draft Eifert and Randle happens to bust?
Then I would imagine we would draft a WR in the middle rounds next year

Still does not change the fact that our first round pick would be the #4 role in our offense behind Nicks, Cruz, Wilson

Off topic: But do we know who our kick return guy is going to be this year?

Wilson did an amazing job last year but Coughlin usually doesn't have his starters returning the ball.

I would imagine it is going to be a competition between Da'rel Scott and Jerrel Jernigan.

Aaron Ross or Randle will probably do punts

The defensive line is different as there remains a lot of question marks

Osi left for the Falcons

Tuck is on the final year of his contract and is slowing down

Kiwi by no means is the answer to our DL problems. He has only reached 5 sacks one time (2008)

Giants like to keep their DE's fresh, it makes total sense to draft a DE to groom as the eventual replacement for Tuck

Didn't montgomery take games off in college? Doesn't seem like a Giants player to me

I do not remember anything about Randle and taking games off

Quote:
In his Combine media interview, LSU DE Sam Montgomery admitted to betting in college and taking games -- not plays -- games off when the Tigers faced lesser opponents.
Montgomery should know that telling the media things like this is not smart. At all. "Some weeks when we didn’t have to play the harder teams, there were some times when effort was not needed," Montgomery said. "But when we had the big boys coming in, the ‘Bamas or the South Carolinas, I grabbed close to those guys and went all out." Montgomery detailed "hundreds of dollars" in bets with teammate Barkevious Mingo, including one for $5,000 on which LSU defensive end will be drafted higher. We'd wager -- heavily -- that it won't be Montgomery. Draft insider Tony Pauline reported late Saturday that LSU's coaching staff has been "slamming" Montgomery to NFL teams.

Does not seem like a Giants player to me
