Any thoughts of this guy being our #5 pick???

Ive been thinking of this for a while and I think he could definately shoot up the boards and overtake either Fisher or Joekel. It seems like he has the most talent of all the tackles, just a little raw.

Wouldn't be thrilled cause I think better players will be there, but at the same time I wouldn't throw my hands up and be smh.

I don't think I would take him at five because there should be a higher value pick available.

He is very under rated by posters here. IMHO he is the most athletically gifted of the OT and has the most upside. When all is said and done it wouldn't surprise me if Johnson had a better career than Joeckel or Fisher.

You could be right but I don't think the gap between Joeckel, Fisher or Johnson would be that big and ultimately Fisher and Joeckel are both more impact players at this point.

I am not a fan of Lane Johnson's at all. Even if we traded back to lets say 16, I'd still prefer a lot of players over him. I don't think he will become a great NFL T.
Over him at 5 alone I prefer (in no order):
Eric Fisher
Luke Joeckel
Ziggy Ansah
Dee Milliner
Dion Jordan
Chance Warmack
Johnathan Cooper
Tavon Austin
Cordelle Paterson
Desmond Trufant
Jarvis Jones
Sharrif Floyd
Barkevious Mingo
Star Lotulelei

He wouldnt like it much, but with him being a TE and switching to the OL. just gives me chills of another jason smith. if im not mistaken he played DE, QB, TE, than Tackle.

I like Lane Johnson. At one point I was okay with him. I like Kyle Long more and more as we near the draft.

Millner
Kyle Long
Sio Moore

We sign Jackson and hope for Gholston in 4

I would love to have Lane Johnson if we were picking 10 spots lower, where he'd be appropriate value. But if we stay at #5, the only OTs I'm interested in are Joeckel and Fisher.

Would much rather have Armstead or Long in the 2nd than Johnson at 5, not that I don't like him but there are much better options there.
