Would like to see details of the deal as thought we wanted to sign him up for longer.

I'm guessing we got a pretty team-friendly deal here. From the lack of buzz on Boothe since the start of free agency, it sounds like he did not get the type of attention/offers he was expecting. He returns to the Giants, does not have to move his family, and gets a 1 year deal to hopefully increase his value going into next year. But this is all assuming the contract was for relatively cheap... Could be that we used up much of our remaining cap room expecting to not make any more moves Smile Guess we'll have to wait and see

I wonder how crazy next year's free agency will be with all these one-year deals for high-end FAs and next year's FAs. Bargain shopping. I'm guessing $2 million, give or take $250k, similar to Myer's deal.

Would have preferred they lock him up a few years but IRIT.

Now we just need a RT. Boothe is a pretty good player even if he's awkwardly proportioned Laughing

I'm really happy with this. Now we can go BPA in the draft as only depth is needed.

RT Vollmer's deal was 4 year $17m. Thats a little frustrating

not really. no need to drop $4M/yr on a walking herniated disk...

He's better than any RT on our roster. We are currently paying $6.5 million to a walking turnstile

He's $3M in dead money. Even if you cut him outright and sign Vollmer you're paying $7M to your right tackle. Not terribly cap-efficient.

Great resign with Boothe. He was very solid last year and is at worst very versatile and a solid backup.

No offense Esky, but where are you getting those numbers? Im seeing 4 year 27 million with would be right around 7 million for a RT. Not worth that imo.
