My reasoning for Warmack

1) I amjust not convinced Jordon is a 3-4 backer. I dont think he can put on the weight.

2) Ansah is not JPP

3) Jones is my favorite OLB prospect but his back scares me and until I know it is okay for sure, I would steer clear this high

4) Rhodes was a close 2nd. I think he will be a good corner

5) I know we have a very good line but having an elite group of body movers for a RB who is planned on getting 400 touches is that much better. Not to mention someone who will be running behind the guards so much

I picked Dion Jordan. I think he would be the perfect compliment to Kruger on the opposite side due to Kruger being more of a pass rush specialist and Jordan being an extremely versitle type LB. Do the Browns need DB help, yes they do but I do not see any other corner worth 6th overall besides Millner.

Peace!!

So if we don't sign another CB, who starts at CB for us this season? Or do we just wait until next year to get our #2?

With the aggressive mindset of our FO, I'm not sure how this would play out. Are they aggressive by taking BPA in Jordan? Or, are they aggressive by taking Rhodes and trying to win this year? I think it's more of the latter. Just my opinion.

I know this is kind of a non-answer, but it all really depends on their grading of Rhodes. I'm assuming that when you say they could be "aggressive by taking Rhodes", you mean that they say "We need a CB now, and he's the best one on the board, so lets not worry about potentially reaching and just take him". I, for one, don't have a problem with them taking Rhodes if they feel like he's not graded any less than a mid first rounder, but if they had him pegged at a low first round talent, then it's Jordan all day.

There's just no way to get an idea without knowing what their big board is.

That's exactly what I meant.

I agree, there's no way to know their big board, or what goals they are trying to accomplish heading into this season. Obviously, that want to make the team better. We just don't know what their modus operandi is yet. Oh, the joys of having a new front office......again.

To be honest with you, I don't know who will be the #2 CB on our team. It's not that I don't like Rhodes, I really do but I just think that Jordans choice would be two fold. He would be BPA and he would help fill a position that is immensely needed when it comes to LB's in the 3-4 defense.

The draft is obviously an inexact science. For all I know, Jordan could be a huge bust and Rhodes could become a future Hall of Famer but that is the risk the front office takes when selecting the players. I don't claim to be an expert by any means, I just go by what I see and what my gut tells me and for me, I like Dion Jordan.

Peace!!

I concur, plus neither Sheard or Kruger project to have any coverage skills. If this was the board I'd prefer to trade down and take a CB, but if we have to take a guy there I'd rather get a talent like Jordon than reach for a corner, especially when it's still a position of need (albeit not a hole like we have in our secondary).

If we sign Butler, I'd be shocked if we draft an OLB. I'm stating the obvious. It would all but seal the deal for CB at 6 or wherever we pick. I'd be happy with that.

I love Warmack as much as the rest, and I like Cooper just as much....but not having a formidable #2 CB will hurt this defense/team tremendously. I think trading back in this scenario (Milliner gone) is the best bet. Chicago seems to me as the best trade partner. We will have the opportunity to Draft BPA/Need and get a 2nd Rd pick.

I agree with Mistake & others.....eventhough I have HUGE belief you need to protect your investments for success, but OL can be had in the 2nd or 3rd if we trade back. If Cooper is there at trade back.....it would be hard to pass on him though.

So I voted for Rhodes.....just because we NEED a #2 CB. If we get Grimes....We trade back with Chicago. I like BPA way more than NEED, but when you're in a pickle....it's hard to not Draft what you need the most. That's the only reason I chose Rhodes.
