Not with a healthy Matthew Ryan.

Yeah taking your best offensive player out of the game periodically probably isn't the smartest thing to do.

Run it in the preseason, see if we can get some interest in a trade. But not with Ryan on the field.

Why would we look to trade our potential longterm backup?

I personally think he's fairly replaceable. If we could get a third or a fourth, I would pull the trigger in a heartbeat.

For a guy that has never played a game before?

If he can get it going in the preseason, maybe. The Patriots have/are going to make the same market for Ryan Mallett. If the read option becomes more popular, I could see us trying to find a market for Davis.

Can Tom Brady come out for one play? Can Peyton Manning come out for one play? Nope. Anything tricky we do on offense will key on our playmakers on the outside or in the backfield.

If he's injured, yes. If not, no.

Don't compare Matt Ryan to Tom Brady or Peyton Manning.

And no Matt shouldn't come off the field during our offensive possessions.
