Saw this on Rotoworld. Victor Cruz has a long-term offer from the Giants that exceeds $7m anually and has a "sizable" amount of guaranteed money.

If Eli restructures, the Giants must be looking to get him locked up long-term. I think they need to do it now because it will end the tender scare and lock him up A. Before he is an UFA and B. Its gonna cost more if he has another big season for a long-term deal. He has Eli's trust.

Thoughts?

Yep. Nicks, too. His value is about as low as it will get ever be right now and we should take advantage by signing him long term this off-season.

Sign the damn deal Victor.

I hope the love in his heart for an organization that was willing to give him a shot and allowed him to shine entices him to take the hometown discount and stay here.

What do u think cruz contract would be I feel the giants want to offer 3 or 4 years 7mill but my gut is telling me 5 years 7million per year and incentives the would put maybe amillion or two in his pocket if he stays healthy and reaches a certain amount of catch with 25 millon guaranteed

nobody wants to guarantee a position player that much money. Miami was stupid for the Mike Wallace contract, that doesn't mean it needs to set the standard.
