I'm curious as to how many WRs you all believe will go in the 1st Rd next month and which ones you believe they will be. The reason I ask, is if you would have asked me prior to the combine, I'd have said 1-2, maybe 3, but I believe that estimation could be low now that the pro days are winding down.

I think that the relative weak class of top-tier talent at other positions this year, especially on the offensive side (QB, RB, TE), MAY lead to a higher number of WRs selected. I believe some teams, like the Steelers, may be looking for an infusion of an offensive "spark", so to speak, that could potentially drive the number of WRs drafted higher. The more I think about it, the more I think that, absent of teams reaching for QBs in the 1st, that WRs may become a more attractive option.

Or I could be "off my rocker" completely...anyway, what say you?

I'll go out on a limb and say 5:

Tavon Austin
Cordarrelle Patterson
Keenan Allen
DeAndre Hopkins
Justin Hunter

...but I really wouldn't be shocked to see Woods, Williams, Patton, or Wheaton selected prior to Rd 2, or it could be similar to 2008, where all the WR "action" takes place in Rd 2.

I see Patterson going mid to early round, with two other guys in the backend. Closer to the 2008 draft with the 2nd round run.

I think one of those 5 will fall to the early or mid 2nd.

My guess would be Hopkins.

Patterson IMO wont go any later than the Rams first pick.

I think Austin may end up getting taken in the top half of the draft as well, but he wont fall past the Pats.

Keenan Allen and Justin Hunter will likely go in the 20s, and I think one of them would be taken by the Ravens if they were on the board at 32. Ravens seem geared to turn into an offensive team based on what I am seeing.

Should be interesting.

I think that 5 will go round one and there will be an even bigger push over the next two rounds (2-3). WR could be one of the biggest positions taken over the first three rounds and one of the most drafted. The league is going with elite QB's and big time passing attacks. Someone has to catch those passes.
