After much time and thought, I'm heading back to Cincy. And for those of you who think it was about money, the Raiders offered more.

Terrence Newman's agreement in principle with #Bengals: 2 years for $5M. Newman gets $3M in the first year. He'll sign in next few days

Wow. That was kind of a big screw you to the Raiders. Don't see why adding that was necessary.

Was expecting the offer to be pulled after he took like 3 weeks to make a decision anyway.

Wanted him but that's life for the Raiders.

Agreed. Kind of disrespectful considering they were interested in you. If he gets cut after this season he just lost any chance of getting a contract in Oakland.

Why were the Raiders interested? Seems to go against what they are doing. Not sure why they'd want a one year fix at CB.

We have nothing at CB. We did the same thing last year, I don't like it but we missed on every other CB and can't win games fielding what we currently have.

Easy choice. The Bengals are better and he is 35 playing cb.

I don't think it was disrespectful. Just telling the fans, he isn't resigning for the money, he wants a chance at a ring.

Two things

1. The rest of the tweets explain. He says he's returning because of Zimmer. Then he says thanks to Raider Nation for showing him love.

2. It took a while because of his agent. He called his agent out on twitter saying if anyone has seen his agent to tell him to call me because I want to get my contract resolved.

Don't see anything Newman did wrong here. He said he came into the league with Zimmer and wanted to go out with him...

Thank you. Reading down these comments was getting me riled up. But you said it all. Newman did nothing wrong. I doubt the Raiders organization is upset with him at all.
