No he didn't.

Umm... I heard Brian Urlacher say it a few times on NFL radio, and NFL Network... so I believe him over you.

Actually you're right. My bad.

I say the Broncos. They are on a 2 year plan with Manning and need some help in the middle.

Urlacher knows his opportunities are limited. He knows he may not start. He knows he might not get a big deal. I like Urlacher enough to see him in Pittsburgh as a rotation guy for Foote. I know he is old and probably has just one more year but he adds a great level of leadership and intensity.

Would definitely love seeing him in a Steeler uniform.....

If I had to see some of my fav Steelers in any other uniform... I think the Bears would be tops on my list.

Happy to have a leader & future hall of famer on the team at the right price.

Damn. Hard to say no to that. I'd certainly take him in for the right price but he has to understand he isn't guarenteed to start and he may have to play special teams if he doesn't start over Foote.

Don't the Broncos already have a middle linebacker years past his prime in Keith Brooking? Maybe they can switch to a 3/4 and have the Brooking/Urlacher grandpa package.

Who cares if he is old, he is Brian freakin Urlacher, heck yes I want him on my team. Leader anyone to teach our linebackers?

Yeah.....not good reasoning. The person I want to teach our LB's is their coach not an over the hill player who has no experience in the 3-4.

This strikes me as another deal like the Jake Long talk. Rumor has is the FO floated that out there to sort of relieve tensions about all of the young talent leaving for other teams.

Aside from a leadership perspective, he hardly brings anything to the table at this point. Pass.

Is this speculation backed up by someone with a reliable reputation? Are we actually bringing in Urlacher or is this like a few years ago when we were going to look at Deangelo Hall?

Before the Foote signing I would have been for this, but now....? At least it would be a signing of somebody we haven't already seen in a Steelers uniform. At this stage any new blood will be a welcome sight.

I don't welcome a signing of Urlacher, but I won't lose any sleep if it happens either.

Also it's not like the Steelers LB unit is young and need guidance from a veteran anyway. The youngest starter in terms of experience is potentially Worilds who will be entering his fourth year. I could understand the leadership argument if the LB unit was inexperienced but they are not.

Urlacher on Dan Patrick yesterday. Highlight of the interview, for me, is when he said no thank you to the prospect of being a Raven. He even laughed at the idea and said their whole defense is gone.

Always respected him and will continue to do so wherever he ends up.
