Owens sucked and was always a laughing joke his first couple of seasons, but he actually showed some flashes of good football this past year. At worst, he gives you a solid #4 CB with experience playing nickel and dime and a good special teams player for cheap.

Thanks for the post.

He seems to be Atlanta's version of Buster Skrine (other than the whole improving during the season part lol). Really fast guy who's good on specials with physical tools to develop at CB.

Skrine is a good comparison. Owens is physical too and I actually think he has all the tools to be a good #3 CB. He just never showed it for more than a couple of games here and now. Too inconsistent, but he's still young. Like I said though, at worst he gives the Browns experience, depth, and value on special teams. Not bad. I think Grimes will follow him to Cleveland.

hey when Buster was playing the #3/#4 corner for us near the end of the season he looked a lot better than he did the year before. I say he def improved. He just looked bad at being a forced starter at the #1/#2 spots

I will never poo poo a CB signing, you can never have enough of them. Still need a starter and I have faith in some way they will find one.

If the Browns sign Grimes, would they still draft Millner? I would if Jordan and Ansah are both gone but that would muddy the waters some that's for sure

Yes, if he's BPA.

I would have to think he'd still be on the short list. Milliner, Ansah, Jordan, and Mingo are my favorites for that pick in no particular order.

having Grimes as a #3 would be nice. limits his snaps, bumps skrine down to a #4. It would make our already improved front 7 even better!
