You'd think he'd have to pay to play in this league. I hate that guy.

Kellen Davis makes the Devin Hester at receiver experiment look like a wild success. With that being said, he did have a nice little run of TD's earlier in his career that made it appear that there may be more there than meets the eye. He is a great community member, but he sure never panned out for the Bears as a player.

I don't wish failure on him. Maybe the Bears just did not utilize him properly. Even if that is the case, I doubt he will ever become a world beater, unfortunately. Mike Mayock said it best....

He had plenty of opportunities when Martz left. He decided to drop balls and fumble when given the chance.

I'd argue that he got way more opportunities than he deserved. He played like 90% of the snaps last year, despite being terrible, and that was his fifth year with the team.

He can run block pretty well when he gets his hands on a guy because he's big and strong, but his awareness and football IQ are pretty bad, and he's also stiff and seems to lack effort. His pass blocking is atrocious though. His only value as a pass catcher is in the red zone; he's got hands of stone and keeps falling down for no reason.

If he finally puts it together, good for him, but the Bears had seen more than enough to cut ties with him.

Not horrible but not good either. Slightly below average but he's solid depth.

He probably was the worst starting tight end last season, yeah hes pretty horrible. The Bears offense will greatly improve with Bennett now there.

Seriously. I personally guarantee anybody who says he isn't horrible has never watched him play more than 2 games.
