Since you beat me to it....

Per Jim Wyatt via Twitter:
Quote:
Former #Ravens safety Bernard Pollard tells @JosinaAnderson he has agreed to a one-year deal with the #Titans

I just got off the phone with Bernard Pollard. Pollard told me, "I've agreed to sign a one-year deal with the Titans." #Titans

Wow. I'm pretty shocked.

Exactly how many safeties do we plan to play? Not that quality competition in camp is a bad thing...

Well I think you can take safety off the need list for the draft. I am not sure both Wilson & Pollard will be on the opening day roster?

I heard we'll be playing more "ruby" (3-2-6) defense this year. I would think that Griffin, Pollard and Wilson can/will play together in that D. I also still think we'll draft a FS somewhere in the draft just in case Griffin has another dreadful year.

Gregg Williams and Bernard Pollard working together.

I think Roger Goodell just peed a little.

I would disagree, who do we have at safety behind those 3? Johnson, Martin, Aflava? I think a 5th or 6th round pick could be spent on a developmental safety like Cooper Taylor. Remember Pollard only signed for one year.

I should have been more clear. I meant off the list at the top of the draft. Vaccaro, Elam, Reid, Cyprien & Shamrko Thomas will definately be off their radar now. I like DJ Swanger(sp) from South Carolina in the 4th or 5th. RoJo looked terrible last year. I think Martin will be pretty good. Aflava is a wasted roster spot IMO.

Win.

Now all we need is both Wilson and Pollard to win the starting jobs. Twisted Evil

Man Swearigner is a better player than Thomas, Reid and maybe Elam he wont be around in the 4th. And I agree that I want to give Martin a shot but who knows how healthy he will be Cooper Taylor is a player I would love to target in the 5th or 6th. He is huge at 6'5" 235 and he runs well could be a good developmental SS.

Great signing. We go from Jordan Babineaux and Robert Johnson at SS to Bernard Pollard and George Wilson. Huge upgrade. Pollard brings an attitude, not just to our DBs but to our whole D. He's a great in the ox safety and allows Griffin to play centerfield where he can roam. Griffin will no longer be needed in the box. Our D when we go to 3 safeties will be great with those 3. Great signing.
