Finally! Glad he's back. He finally started playing some disciplined football last season. Now let's get Andre Smith signed and have the most successful offseason in recent memory for the Bengals (let me have this)...

The surprising stat about Jones is, 7 years in the league, only 5 career INTs.

He was thought to be such a playmaker coming into the league...

Before Goodell derailed his career, he was one of the top 3 return men in the game.

How old is he now? early 30's?

Seems like a good non starter for the Bengals. Seems like he really turned his career around.

He's still a dangerous punt returner. In terms of INT's though, whether it's coached or just the way he plays I don't see him becoming a big INT guy (unless he gets a string of lucky deflections one year).

He stays close to receivers and contests passes (or gets a pass interference called on him). But it's more knocking down passes than getting in position to intercept them...

He turns 30 in September. Hopefully he celebrates responsibly... Laughing

I still have a bitter taste about how he acted in Tennessee, but I'm happy for him that he seems to have turned his life around.

How are his finances now-a-days? Is he actually getting to keep any of that money?

Don't know, but seeing as how that's not football related let's not go there...

I have to admit that I thought this guy was going to be a great CB. I wanted to see him become something special. Then when read about all the problems and crimes that was going on I completely cheered against him. I'm hoping he has turned his life around.

I have to be honest and say I'm surprised he found a way to keep himself out of trouble and in the NFL. Good for him and a good signing for the Bengals.

What an absurd comment. Yeah, it's Goodell's fault for the numerous off-field-incidents Jones has had in his career. Rolling Eyes

I glad that he finally seems to have found some stability in his life on and off of the field. Hope he keeps it up.

Good re-signing by the Bengals. In the games that I watched them play, Jones was actually very good for them. Physical, very explosive coming forward and still seemed to possess solid turn and run speed. If Dre Kirkpatrick takes a step forward and they can find a viable second safety, the Bengals could have a very strong secondary next season. In fact, if they find a coverage linebacker (perhaps Ogletree at 21), and the aforementioned things occur, their defense could be every bit as good as any in the AFC.
