I don't think that he was brought in to replace Hall and be our starting CB. I think it was merely depth and behind Crawford at that. Either we can bring back Hall on the cheap and draft a CB in the 2nd or 3rd or we dont bring back Hall and still draft a CB but in the 2nd to be our starter.

Either way, Biggers is not meant to be the starter and the only reason he saw so much playing time last season was because the Bucs let go of Talib and they had no one else to back him up but Biggers.
As long as he isn't the starter Ill be fine.

So theres basically a ton of left over CB's that are good sevicable .

Winfield
Hall

Pacman Jones
Trufunt
Jacob Lacy
Nate Clements
Rasead Mathis
Sheldon Brown
Shawntae Spencer
Captain Munnerlyn
Terrence Mcgee
Mike Jenkins
Brent Grimes
Will Allen
Kelvin Hayden

http://espn.go.com/nfl/freeagency/?year=2013&position=29

The ones I bolded can start for us and ones in Blue are like maybe and not maybe sort of thing.

Alot of CB's left to be serviceable. Very surprise we haven't made a move on Brent Grimes but do fully expect Hall back.

Grimes is out of our price reach according to reports

Hes not even 100% yet too so I don't see how DRC and Talib and other CB's who are healthy can be less expensive than a guy who was out of football all last year.

I honestly think he is affordable I don't get into those reports to much because theres no way he is gonna be too expensive at 30. Maybe we cant afford him but how the heck we can afford Biggers ?.

Im sure Grimes will sign cheap some where if Sean Smith price wasnt that huge.

He's young, just entering his prime i don't love the move but we need bodies and its what we could afford so, I like it.

He has good size at 6', I think they makes him our tallest DB now and that will help vs the bigger wrs in our division like Nicks and Bryant. Biggers is only going to improve as a player I've the next 5 years or so, do we've probably seen the worst of him the last few years as he was developing in Tampa.

As far as the getting burnt stuff goes. I'd much rather see a youngster who's only going to be 26 get burnt some than Watch DHall get overpaid and get burnt on the regular.

Hall is only going to regress as a player as he's near 30. Biggers will only get better as he's only 26 this year and he's much cheaper.

Hall atleast makes it up with good tackling and 4-5 picks a season and improved during that 7 game stretch.Biggers does not but he will be better at nickle/dime for us than Griffin or Crawford and stop all this Minfield talk.
yes, but hall makes up for it in tackling after he allows receptions. Biggers is younger, so there's hope he can improve. I'd rather have a 26 year old inconsistent cb who's making the vet minimum or just above then a 9 year vet who's 29 and only going to get more inconsistent with age because he can't rely on his speed anymore, he'll have to rely on Technique and Halls was, is and will always be Lousy!

Yea but to say Biggers is a upgrade is just not true the dude is bad from all the Buc fans on different forums are saying he is just a good#3. I think will pick up one more FA CB because looking at the FS list Huff and Rhodes might be to expensive and NO to Cory Lynch.

I expect us to get Hall back and Ill be fine with that he shown improvement last year .....which games did he do bad during that 7 game stretch?. And IDC if hes 25 because there are alot of 25 year olds too but it dosent matter unless they know how to play.

You guys won't be impressed.

His trademark play is walking right up to the line of scrimmage but then just letting the wideout run by untouched, then getting beat.

yeah Corey Lynch is a guy I want at FS, he and Biggers will go well together. They both played for Morris at Tampa. Wink

I've heard nothing but negative things about this guy. I guess we're going with a certain poster's (I think Woz, but I'm not certain) strategy at finding someone to play in the secondary: Keep throwing poo at a wall and hoping it sticks. Not the best metaphor in the world, but it gets the job done. Laughing

It's not all completely negative. He's got great speed and is in decent position sometimes.

...he just doesn't get his head around to locate the ball. Like ever. If he can figure that out, he could be a decent number two or nickel.

Oy! Completely uncalled for.

This is a warning, Dashing, for personal insults.

Given our cap situation and draft picks, it's all we can do.

Can't say I'm crazy about the pick, especially when there were other guys available (yes, Winfield is older but he's better and could probably be had for a "two" year deal).
