Assuming the Jags draft Geno.
What would you give up for Gabbert? Surround him with weapons and give it a go? _________________

A doritos locos taco.
And even that's a bit of an overpay. _________________

I like the way you negotiate. Start off with the anchor bar wings, if they play hard ball, make them Duffs and throw in a garbage plate to seal the deal. _________________

That or we could throw in an autographed photo of the waitresses from Duffs. Might be giving up too much then though.. _________________

You guys are overreacting in a negative way..
Gabbert would be better as a backup than other players out there..
For a LATE round pick, I would give him a go.. especially considering a large majority of his salary (the bonus portion) would be eaten by Jacksonville..
Put it this way, Gabbert has a MUCH higher chance of success than any late round QB we would draft.. Plus, in a year where we seem to have a hard time deciding if any QB really has elite potential, it buys us a year while seeing if we can revive his career..
Think Drew Brees in San Diego type of thing.. _________________

Fans may have a hard time identifying a franchise QB, but Nix has already said he felt there were 2. IMO T-Jax = Gabbert and since we've already given up a late round pick, I don't see the logic in burning another pick. As others have said, if released, I would sign him though. _________________

If Jacksonville drafts Geno, he'll be the 3rd string QB. Not the kind of talent I want to add. _________________

Drew Brees would have been a top 10 pick if not for injuries and had decent numbers before NO payed him. Not sure these situations have anything in common. |
