#Titans have agreed to terms with G/C Rob Turner, a 6-4, 308-pounder with 57 games of NFL experience. Started 16 games for Rams last yr.

Figured we could give this it's own thread. Rams fans seem to like the guy and he has experience at guard and center. May not be a starter, but provides some solid depth across the inside.

Good signing, anything to help to improve our depth is important

I wonder if they keep Amano for depth- i know he is terrible, but if he takes a paycut he could be better value than any other free agents we could bring in. We would have some decent versatility with our interior OL with Velasco, Tucker and Amano all being swing players. Add 1 starting G and we could have a great Line with very good depth!

The problem is true pay cuts dont really happen much, instead we would likely have to restructure his contract which would add to his guaranteed money. His contract is huge and we really should just cut bait. Honestly with our multiple picks I think we add a guard in the 2nd and at least one later. Plus the addition of Rob Turner essentially eliminates the need to keep Amano.

Hmm. Wyatt says he'll compete for a starting roll.

This means we won't be going for Warmack or Cooper in the first, I would think.

Yea I am thinking Warford in the 2nd and there are many other players throughout the draft that we could add.

I still expect #Titans to take an interior offensive lineman in first 3 rounds of the draft to compete for starting spot as well.

Warford?
Ideally that would be the case. Still wouldn't be surprised if we drafted Warmack at #10. Though it's becoming less and less of a necessity, which is nice.

From just what I've saw on-line most people say he is a better player at center. If he is expected to compete for a starting job wonder what the means for Velasco? Kick him back out to RG? Honestly I hope we go after Brandon Moore on a cheap two year deal.

The more I read around, the more good things I see Rams fans saying about the guy. I'm intrigued by what the plan is with him. I'd kind of be disappointed to see Velasco kicked back to guard, but regardless, our line is going to be vastly improved from last year.

With the above said, I'd expect him to compete for the RG spot. Velasco, at least in my opinion, showed too much at center once he got rolling to risk messing with it by moving him.

I am not familiar with him, but from what I have read it seems like a solid signing. I still want a RG in the 1st or 2nd round. Maybe Star being cleared medically will make him the pick at #10? So they can go RG in the 2nd. Cool

If he's being brought in to compete for a job I see us taking a G in the 3rd like Winters/Long/Schwenke
