Anybody ever watch Geno play a game in cold weather?

I recommend finding the Pinstripe Bowl somewhere online for a hint as to how he would look late in the season in Cleveland. I would post a link, but I can't seem to find it.

From what I remember, it wasn't pretty.

I just really hope that the Browns don't make the mistake of thinking that this kid has any chance at all of ever being a top 10 QB in the NFL, which is what he better be if he's taken at 6.

that was a beautiful game Cool Scot Shafer sent everythgin he had at Geno that game and the last time we played them at the dome and Geno was not great at handling the pressure

Were the problems Geno, his supporting cast, both and/or something else?

Geno had 2 really good wide receivers to throw to, Syracuse got pressure on him all game long, he held the ball too long, and just looked bad bad bad

Geno is great when he has a clean pocket for about 5 seconds. Take that away and he looks average.

In the NFL I think he will be average. I wouldn't trade him for Weeden straight up. I think his floor is higher than Weeden's, but I don't think his ceiling is as high.

Austin is a stud. Bailey was good. Geno...was inconsistant.

I wouldn't be shocked if we gave up next years 1st to move up to secure Geno. I would be disapointed, but not surprised.

A move like that would cement my feelings that this organization is run by men at the top who have no idea how to run a draft.

Mine too, and I really want them to succeed so I'd hate to see it. Like you, as of now I don't have much faith in them.

I do hope they prove us (and history) wrong.

Best QB in the draft this year is not saying much. "Compared to the other pile of garbage, he doesn't stink as much!" Hardly a good reason to overdraft him.

You don't take a late first round talent in the top 10 because of his position.

Lots of differing opinions about Geno. Trend (as it always does with QBs in the draft) seems up, though.

Hey, we already spent a 1st round on a guy that probably was 2nd/3rd round value.

Maybe we will move on up (i.e., spend a top 10 on a guy that probably is late 1st value)!

If we traded next years 1st to move up for Geno, I honestly have no idea what I would do.

I do know it would involve a lot of fire and tears.

On that set of facts, I'd be thinking more along the lines of a posse or a lynch mob.

Weeden was not a 3rd round value. IMO he was a late 1st early 2nd pick. If he was under the age of 25 he would of been a top15 pick IMO.

IMO Geno Smith is a top15/top10 pick
