yessss. im very happy. i knew we werent getting a third. balke was right, guys kinda smart huh.
thanks skins for giving morgan that fat contract. and cards thank you as well.
....bears not so much, stole our man

more picks to add to the collection. 14 total now.
i like having later picks (5-7) balke finds him self some steals

next year should be even better, getting more picks and better picks with so many guys leaving. hoping we make moves and grab some extras for next draft again

Yep, about what I expected to receive. We didn't lose a big name FA so we weren't getting a 3rd. Maybe next year with the loss of Goldson?

i think so. tenn got a third for finnerninnerginn and chiefs for carr. they both got more than goldson, but not too many guys getting huge contracts this offseason it seems.
hopefully he stays healthy and get his snaps in.

If you look at 2014 we're already setting ourselves up there too

We have our 7 picks. 3rd or 2nd rounder for Alex. 7th for Colin Jones. Thats 9. We lost 4 FA's and signed 3, but all 3 are small signings (none make more than $2M a year while every FA we lost signed for at least $4M a year).

We could end up with at least 10 picks, plus more if we trade for future picks or trade other players for 2014 picks.

Wait. They didnt list Snyder. Wasn't paying attention I guess.
Possibly a typo? He definitely got a large enough contract and he got a decent amount of playing time before getting hurt.

Just wondering, does anyone know our comp pick expectations for next year?

Last year during the season everyone knew we were going to get 3 comp picks. Which is why i'm sure someone has an idea for next year.

So far we've lost Goldson, Walker, RJF, Sopo (4). We've gained Skuta, Dahl, Dorsey, and Dawson (4).

Would we get 0 comp picks next year?

That is correct. Although I'm wondering what happens if one of the guys we signed doesn't make the roster

I like the Skuta, Dorsey, and Dawson signings to an extent, but the Dahl signing would become even worse (as he's a bad player already) if we lost a 3rd or 4th round comp pick because of it. Evil or Very Mad

no the guys we lost got bigger contracts so we will get lower comp picks.
in the link it explains the colts and giants each got a seventh with no net loss but the players they lost had more value on there system basically

it sucks though. we would be looking at a 3rd for dashon, then possibly 4 and 5 and 6 best scenario with rjf delanie and soap getting decent money contracts.
but we signed guys for 2-3 mill per and were going to get a lot less, possibly nothing.

but grant will still get signed. hopefully ginn gets a deal similar to skuta so they cross out. then moss hopefully get a deal somewhere. then hopefully we cut dahl cuzz we have nobody to cross him out Laughing

Don't forget that playing time factors in the comp pick formula. We lost 4 guys who are going to be starters, or at least play a lot of snaps. Skuta and Dahl might play only ST snaps, Dawson is guaranteed to play only ST snaps, but considering he's a starting kicker, he might cancel out one of our losses. Dorsey will probably be more of a back-up, probably play around 35% of the defensive snaps at most. My bet is that we will still get a high comp pick for Goldson (3rd), and for Soap/RJF a 5th and a 6th. Just a guess, but that seems fair.
