Solid signing...as long as he is the backup.

I like it, Fitzpatrick will push Jake. Much more so than Hasslebeck. Not saying there's a controversy or anything, but if Jake isn't progressing, Fitzpatrick has the ability to get hot and challenge the position.

Solid move, a smart signal caller with plenty of experience and possibly some glory left in his arm as the back up. Its an upgrade from Hass.

I don't get how or why anyone wouldn't like this move. Unless he is costing us a fortune which I highly doubt being we cut Hass due to high cap... All I see is idiots saying how terrible Fitz is, how stupid the Titans are for signing him. Yada yada guess those people are comfortable with Rusty or just plain idiots...

I like the signing

THis really shows that staff is serious and knows there job is on the line. Fitzpatrick is the perfect back-up to have- proven and still young enough to have an NFL future. A great student of the game and has NFL success under his belt- IF and as well hope that its just IF- Jake locker regresses and struggles- the coaching staff has a back up plan in Fitz.

I like the move long term and short term it gives the Titans another option.

We should play this song every time Locker makes a mistake. Laughing

I always liked Fitzpatrick a lot. And I really like this option over Hasselbeck. Did not see this coming at all but I'm happy. Jake could very likely get hurt and miss some time, but I won't really be disappointed to see the back up now.

Really like this signing. Of all the potential backup QB options on the market, I really feel like Fitzpatrick was the best. Doesn't hurt to have someone behind Jake with starting experience, and he is still significantly better than Hasselbeck at this point in their careers.

I agree. I thought he was the best available QB. I don't understand how he has gone unsigned this long and Hass is signed in under 24 hours. Confused

I like the sign to be honest, it's kinda funny how we signed, 3 players from the same team lol. Frist it was Wilson, and Andy, now Ryan. I do believe that Ryan could help push Locker more than Matt could. Matt was never the type for our system.

Prob cause he's just an old dude with great vet experience. He signed with Indy for mentoring purposes I suppose because I don't think Luck is gonna go down that much the way he is built. I bet they thought the same thing when they signed Collins after we cut him...worked great for us!

If Fitz pushes for the starting job in any way this season (w/o another Locker injury), I don't see how Locker is brought back in 2014. His contract obviously is team-friendly, but if his play doesn't justify a new contract discussion before/during its final year (2014) then QB has to become a priority in the 2014 draft.

He's pretty bad, IMO, but a better back-up than Hass.

I like Hass a lot, and it's kind of sad to see him go. He was a tough QB for us...but this is the nature of the biz.
