Just me being nitpicky RPM but i was looking at your Vikings Roster and you have the ages of John Carlson and Rhett Ellison switched around.

Im pretty sure Ellison is not 28 and Carlson is definitely not 24. Very Happy

How can you call yourself a Vikes fan with such inaccurate info? Shame on you

I have been reading posts for a long time and enjoy the insight, so thank you. This is a topic that has piqued my interest for a long time, being that I know nothing about it, but am always interested in the way the Vikings are able to work the rules to always stay ahead of the salary cap. How do we do it year after year when many teams are often on the edge of the cap or way over. Is it responsibility, philospohy or a combination of both?

There's currently a tie in the poll. Why not use BOTH names for the title?

A little of both.

The Vikings do a good job of not pushing too much money into future years. That's their philosophy and it's also very responsible when it comes to the cap.

Tom Pelissero ‏@TomPelissero
With Seth Olsen's contract now in as well, #Vikings sit $5.117M under their adjusted salary cap, per source. Nine teams have less cap space.

Per Rotoworld, Olsen's contract is a one year deal worth $630,000, and that includes a $20,000 signing bonus.

The Vikings have re-signed ERFA, Andrew Sendejo
Waiting on cap figures, but I'm guessing it's just his tender

Also helps not to win the super bowl

I've updated my spreadsheet to display full money, and not rounded figures. Based on when Tom Pelissero last said we were at $5,117,000 in cap space and adding on the Andrew Sendejo re-signing we sit at $4,562,000 in space.

@TomPelissero: Marvin Mitchell took a minimum salary benefit deal from #Vikings, per source. $25K to sign, $25K roster bonus, base $765K, cap # only $605K.
