Wish him the best. A true leader and definitely a class act, won us a couple of games with late-game heroics, too.

If no one else offers him 5mil, maybe he'll re-sign for 3.

We're making room for Tim Tebow. We're going back to a run-first ground and pound offense, and this is right up Honey-Christian's alley. Mark my words.

Its purely about the money, you dont pay a true backup $7.5M. So releasing him saves $5.5M and we can keep pursuing players in free agents. Fitz would be a great addition as a backup.

ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports up to ten teams have expressed interest in free agent Matt Hasselbeck, and the list could get longer.
This is obviously agent-driven, but Mort says the Cardinals, Bills, Bears, Bengals, Browns, Colts, Saints, Giants, 49ers, and Bucs are the clubs with initial interest. Per Cardinals beat writer Kent Somers, Arizona has begun reviewing the soon-to-be 38-year-old's tape. Hasselbeck was owed $5.5 million before the Titans cut him on Monday. He'd be lucky to get half of that on his next deal.

USA Today reports the Colts are already in discussions with free agent Matt Hasselbeck to make him their backup quarterback.
Mike Garafolo says the two sides "could soon agree" to a deal.

We're switching offenses. Means nothing to us, really.

I'm shocked Fitzpatrick hasn't been scooped up by Arizona or one of those teams...

I guess the colts didn't get the memo when they picked up KFC a couple years back after the Titans let him go?

Anyway all jokes aside. Thanks for the 2011 season Hass. However the 2012 version of yourself was hard to look at but you are a class act regardless. Happy trails my man.

I find that kind of hard to believe considering Wyatt said Hass was on vacation out of the country. You never know though. Idk why he would want to go to Indy when he could potentially start in Arizona or Buffalo.
