He didnt have a real good season last year due to Doug Martin presence. But anyways the Bucs are trying to trade him. He is like 6-1 240lb back 26 years old has some years left in him had one 1,000 yard season as a Buccaneer and a 700 yard season just wonder what kind of draft pick or player we have to give up to snag him. I do a 5th rounder maybe don't know if they would take it thougth. Thoughts and concerns on Blount out of Oregon? _________________

Ill pass. I liked him coming out, wanted him as an UDFA, at this point I'd rather sign Bradshaw if he comes cheap or just draft a RB then giving up a 5th. _________________

Meh, I'd sign him as a UFA, not a player worth trading a pick for though. He's a FA after this year and not someone I'd be willing to count on in any fashion as an investment. _________________

Hm.
He did rush for 1,000 yards in 2010 in only 13 games. What happened after that? Injury concerns?
Also, any character concerns here? I remember the Boise State thing, not sure if he had any other incidents. _________________

I can't say with any certainty that he is any better than anybody we can get in rounds 4-6 in the draft. More experienced, of course, but remember he was an UDFA. Guys like this slip through the cracks every year. No need to burn a pick on one that had a good season a few years ago. Might as well take a chance bringing in 3-4 RBs this year and let the best win the competition. _________________

Doesn't block and has pretty bad hands and is somewhat of a fumbler. Nah, I'd rather stick with what we have honestly... _________________

Honestly, I'd swap same round picks to take him off their hands.
We get Blount and the 13th pick in a round
They get the 25th pick in the same round
So the Packers move up 12 spaces for taking Blount.
He has no burst, don't like his lateral agility, fumbles, poor receiver, no wiggle, basically see no value in him on this offense. So he breaks arm tackles when he's running forward... not going to be much help for this team. I'd be a little upset if the Packers used any assets on him. _________________

Blount is a finesse back in a power back's body. At UO they using to have him shimmy his legs before some handoffs because it takes time for him to get going. Wanted Blount mid-season last year, but there are more, and better, options for us right now. _________________

Is it too late to say we want Blount for stealing Crabtree?
Seriously though, I can't see much of an upgrade over the dudes we already have on the roster. I'd pass. |

I think you guys would be dumb not to welcome him depending on a fair / cheap price. He is an athletically gifted big bruising back. Although you guys do have Kuhn. _________________

In college he was suspended for throwing a punch was suspended for bowl game think that had an effect on him not being drafted. Started out as a niner then was a Titan he threw a punch at a player there too when Fisher was coach but it was in practice and it was taken care of. Then went to Tampa Bay had no behavior problems been well behaved. But his rushing yards last year were very low not sure if just cause if Martin being the go to guy or if Blount was injured. Think it was just the case of the emergence of Martin. I do recall back in 2011 we played the Bucs and Blount had a 50 plus yard touchdown run against our Packers. _________________
