Agreed on Thursday Night football in general.
Would love Sunday Night if the NFL would want that, just don't see them budging whatsoever from the thursday or bust mentality. Only thing to worry about with that sunday is maybe moving that days Os game from 1 to noon and bump the Ravens game back a bit to alleviate parking scenarios. Could have some logistical issues but obviously not as many as the Thursday situation possesses.
NFL created this problem for themselves and as an aside the orioles have moved a game in the past for the Ravens (2008) only to have that game rained out and never made up. _________________

TNF is like playing week-games in college baseball.
The players don't want to play the game, the fans don't/can't come to watch the games, and the "intensity" and "energy" is exponentially lower than a regular game on the weekends.
But, it is what it is. _________________ #FireDeanPees...and Chris Hewitt....and Matt Weiss |

Thursday Night football as the season opener is a little different than Thursday Night football during the rest of the season. Thursday Night football during Weeks 2-16 are shown only NFL Network to a smaller audience, and are sloppily played games because both teams are mostly still beat up and unprepared from having played only 3 days before.
Thursday Night football as the season opener is something different. It's a showcase event on a cable network channel, you get more than enough time to prepare for the game, and the entire NFL world is fixated on that game. The intensity will be there, the aura will be there, and the fans will both be there and be watching from home. _________________

I think its unfair that we were the last team to play the previous season, and now have to play the first game of this season as well. _________________

Quote: | Orioles say they have explored compromise w/Ravens but they are not changing their Sept. 5 game vs White Sox. Ravens likely to open on road.
Statement from Os: "The Orioles have great respect for the Super Bowl Champion Ravens and thank Major League Baseball, the MLB Players Assoc
and the White Sox for doing everything possible to work with us to explore all options to reschedule the Sept. 5 game. We also appreciate
the work of the NFL and the Ravens over the past several wks as we attempted to accommodate the Ravens' interest in a game the same evening
. Given the limited options available to reschedule the game at that late date in the season, the parties jointly determined that even an
earlier start time would still create such enormouslogistical difficulties that it would greatly diminish the fan experience for both events
The Ravens and NFL are also expected to release statements today. But either way, the Ravens will open up the 2013 season on the road. |

SMH what is this!? Any regular season NFL game, let alone the opener, should have priority over a regular season MLB game... |

@ BaltimoreTerp: what is the Ozzie Newsome gif in the OP a reaction to?
It should go nicely with the Harbaugh-Manti Teo 40 time gif. |

Lol wth!
"Logistics issue" my butt!!
That is some bull crap! Can't believe the Ravens are getting pushed around like this.
Well, at least you get a new joke out of it.
What does a Super Bowl win, a $120 million quarterback, and a complete re-vamping of the team get you?
A road game to start next season. _________________

Y'all should wear Ravens Jerseys to the Orioles home opener and chant Seven Nation Army everytime they are at the plate.
EDIT: And throw batteries on the field. _________________
