Completely correct. This is why I've suggested trading Hardy prior to him entering UFA. Even if you play the Franchise Tag Game, why not return multiple picks in the upcoming draft?

I think we will have a Giants situation and having a revolving door of good DEs. We will resign Hardy, and in two-three years Charles Johnson will be out the door to make cap room. Bring in a new DE, and then Hardy will be the next one out a few years later.
