The Chiefs are trying to be a bit too cute IMO. Like someone else said they're making this OL situation way more complicated than it has to be. _________________

Albert has also made it hard for them. After Winston was released he posted some things on twitter about refusing to move to RT and then deleted his twitter. _________________ Sigbet with El Ramster; OKC wins title = I win. IND wins title = he wins. |

I don't know WTF KC is doing at the moment.
To me it made more sense to keep Albert at LT and keep Winston at RT and draft Jordan. Your in a division with Peyton Manning, it might be smart to load up on the pass-rushers. |

Actually, Albert would be much more effective at LG; which he is excellent at. I'm sure they'd rather explore options since he's proven at both OG and LT and can be effective at both, plus there is a possibility of him leaving.
Chiefs would rather keep him. If they can get a high pick and use it on a younger OT / OG; they'll do that as well. _________________ Come Follow The Great NSFL!

Winston was released to save money, and move to a more athletic pass blocking RT. WINSTON was fairly awful last year in that aspect. Not to mention he had a huge contract for a RT.
I could easily see KC still extend Albert. Remember all this discussion us coming off Peter King saying he thinks KC will listen. If we don't get a deal we like, we keep him. It's not like we're desperate to trade him. |

My hope would be that the Chiefs could trade out of 1 to 2, 3, or 4 and get back that 2nd rounder, and use the money they save on Albert to add one more piece in FA (Osi, Elvis, or Lloyd). But these are the Chiefs, so I won't be holding my breath. |
Any pick the chiefs make will be one of the most uninspiring pick one could make in history. There is literally not a worthy first overall pick this year and whoever is selected will feel very underwhelming. _________________

Not really. He was being paid on average what most starting RT's who aren't currently playing on a rookie contract are making (~$5 million/yr), a standard set by David Diehl in 2008. And considering that Winston was signed in a post rookie wage scale era (when there was an inflation on veteran new contract values), he was actually at a slight bargain price. _________________

Houston and Hali. Floyd, Lotuleilei, or hell, Richardson would be better. _________________

I'll take it. I like Albert and when healthy he is a top 10 LT but Joeckel or Fisher are better options at this point if we can get a 2nd in return for Albert. _________________ Sigbet with El Ramster; OKC wins title = I win. IND wins title = he wins. |

I'd trade a third, but there is so much oline talent Eagles can get someone early 2nd who won't cost what Albert does _________________

foolishness. Albert would not be better at G. I don't know why people keep suggesting this. Albert is a great pass blocking LT. You don't move those kinds of guys. _________________
