Link about his FA http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2013/3/12/4077062/2013-nfl-free-agents-eric-winston

eric Winton I think we would all agree be a good thing for us, what is the most you would spend to bring him in, KC didnt want to pay him between 2.5-6.5 million a season.

Also reported Miami is looking at him, http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/3648/eric-winston

The Palm Beach Post expects the Dolphins to target free agent RT Eric Winston if they fail to re-sign free agent LT Jake Long

I think he would be a good signing and even if we sign him we still need to make sure we sign a Olineman in first 3 rounds.

He's the guy I wanted to bring in ever since the Chiefs released him (wanted him more than Long).

Get it done, Ireland!

I'm for it if we don't sign Long.

Edit: Just seen Long signed to Rams. =/

Eric is a go.

Probability is high now that the Dolphins will have serious discussions with Winston since Jake Long is gone.

His signing would make sense, flip Martin over to his natural position at left tackle have Winston at right tackle were has played in the pros (left tackle is his college position). By signing a vet, it offers more stability not forcing a team to immediately start a rookie a tackle. There is still the possibility of drafting a tackle for the future .

Winston will be the smart move....fit the scheme and will be relatively cheap...

If we get Winston or Vollmer and a CB then this offseason will be a success.

A top 10 RT in the league who has started every single game he has played since 2006 and plays in a zone scheme would be my guess.

Winston would be a great pickup at this point. Fills a huge need for cheap and gives us at least one more year to evaluate Martin at LT.

........Or if Ireland wants to take the big money route again, he can try to snag Vollmer. Laughing

He is 6 years in, and fits our style of Offense, allows us to focus on other needs, and if we sign him to about 4 years, he is durable and comes at a good cost. In short we could sign a RT for 3-5 years and allows us to have 2/5ths of our Oline. If Martin can pick it up a notch, we need a RG and we could be solid.
