Thanks for the participation in the previous poll. Here are the results so far:
#1. Luke Joeckel, OT Texas A&M
#2. Sharrif Floyd, DT Florida
#3. Geno Smith, QB West Virginia
#4. Dee Milliner, CB Alabama
The Detroit Lions are now on the clock with the 5th selection, who do they pick:
OT Eric Fisher, Central Michigan
DE Ezekiel Ansah, BYU
DE Bjoern Werner, Florida State
OT Lane Johnson, Oklahoma
OLB Barkevious Mingo, LSU
If you select Other in the poll, please state the name of the other player and the reason why you selected them. _________________

I went with Eric Fisher. Their offensive line wasn't the greatest last year, and they lost oth Jeff Backus and Gosder Cherilius this offseason. They drafted Riley Rieff last year, and I think he's a perfect fit at right tackle, but finding a left tackle to replace Backus is paramount. _________________ "Building a great team isn't about having the best players, it's about having the right players." |

For some reason Eziekiel Ansah seems like the kind of guy Jim Schwartz would want so I voted for him. _________________

They need a DE badly, imo, so I randomly chose one of them. But I can see the argument for Fischer also. It has to be Fischer or DE, doesn't it? _________________ Wins are a team stat, not a QB stat |

Went with Fisher, keeping Stafford upright will be the most important thing for the Lions as a team _________________

I personally see that it's going to be either an OT or a DE, which is why that's 4 of the choices.
It would make sense for the Lions to go with Fisher. They could keep Reiff at RT and Fisher is a home-state kid at a position of need and could be considered the BPA. It probably makes too much sense. _________________

They lost both starting OTs from last year. Went with Fisher. _________________

Draft like Jimmie Johnson=bad (2 QB's)
Draft like Jerry Jones=good (take an OT top10) |
