How many linebackers do we need lol. Teams and depth never hurts but damn can we get a db or 2 or 5?

I like it, wonder if we adress CB, pass rush in the draft. Still some CBs on the market. Wonder if we cut McClain now, he'd excel in a 34 though...

This is a nice move. It means we have some LB depth and we don't have to rely on Burris/Maiava completely

Burris - Roach - Burnett

Thats how I see it anyway. Probably an open compeitition between Burris and Maiava for the last spot with Roach and Burnett having their spots pretty much locked up.

Not a great LB core by any stretch, but its the making of a reliable unit that isnt going to lead to an elite defense, but full of guys that can do their jobs. About as much as we can ask for at this point. This gives us some flexibility to go out and look for DL and CB help in the draft. [/code]

Love it. Wanted him back in 2010. He's a sound LB, great tackler who is still in his prime.

Essentially a trade Burnett for Wheeler. Burnett was cheaper and a better player. Youth isn't on his side however.
