Yeah I wouldn't touch the guy before the 3rd. There are prospects who are just as good or better who would be there at 26 and our 2nd that have way less question marks. Too big of a risk to go on in the first.

Saw Mayock has Margus Hunt as his #2 overall 34 DE. Guy has a ton of upside, might take him a couple years to get goin tho, but good depth til then. He also has plenty of the length many of us on here are wanting. I got his draft pick value around pick 40 but def could rise in the next couple weeks.

Anyone think we'll take a shot at him, and/or if you like him?

I wouldn't touch Margus anywhere in the draft.

6th round is laughable.

So where do you want us to pick him at?

If we could get him way twards the end I guess I wouldn't mind but if it takes more than a 6th I honestly want nothing to do with him.

I'd like to go back and watch his stuff again, but from what I watched initially I'd be fine with him in the 2nd and very happy with him anytime after that.

I still don't see what the infatuation with him. He's a big guy that moves really well. Other than that, he's a terrible football player who struggles with leverage.

hyperbole never helps anything.

He is not a terrible football player. Stop overreacting. He is "cool" to hate this year for whatever reasons and the analysis of him as a prospect is getting a stale regurgitation aspect to it.

Again, aside from the fact that he's a great athlete what's the appeal about him? If he weren't a great athlete, nobody would be blinking an eye at him. Combine that with the fact that he's virtually raw as can be, and struggles with leverage. If he's not there in the end of Round 2, that means we would have taken him in the first. He's just way too raw for the Packers to take him in the first round.

terrible football players don't get drafted at all. They are doctors and lawyers and teachers and children and pets.

He is a great athlete, that's what appealing about him Laughing

He's made big strides, he's willing, he's a world-class athlete, he has been dominant in stretches. He needs coaching, he needs NFL weight-room time but he has everything needed to become an excellent football player.

He has risks, yes, which will likely keep him out of the first. But he's not a terrible football player and is a MUCH better selection than anyone available in the 6th round like some are suggesting. It's absurd.

That right there in bold is the reason why those that love him love him though. Every DL coach in the league would love to work with that guy. Most of them could care less about the age issue also. I agree that there is a good chance he is going to get overdrafted. But there are some rare parts there that you can't coach. You have them or you don't! I would look at him in a very different light if the young man was not willing but that's anything but the case here. Clearly a worker and had high IQ scores.
