Right, okay, I am growing increasingly worried that Geno will not be at 8 when we pick, nearly every team in front of us could grab him.

The Jags at #2, the Raiders at #3, Browns at #6 and the Cards at #7 are all legitimate threats to us taking our guy, and I don't see us trading up for him, (I really don't think it would be worth it) so I'd like to gauge who you'd all want to take instead.

Personally I'd love to pick up Patterson in the first to give us another weapon for the QB we pick up in the 2nd round, then CB and LB depth in the rounds after that.

Well first I'd smash my head against my wall, repeatedly.

Then I'd suck it up, pick myself up, and be happy the Bills at least took Tyler Wilson.

We need a QB, any other position or depth is meaningless if you don't have one.

So because you need one you reach? Tyler Wilson could very well be there in the 2nd for us and even if he isn't some QB will be. After Geno the talent evens out. We should be able to take a QB we like in the 2nd. This is a class of QB you really don't need to reach in the first round because there are so many 2nd to 3rd round QBs. If some team does decide to take Wilson and even Barkley for that matter ahead of us at 41 then we still get a choice between Nassib, Manuel, Dysert, Bray, Jones and Glennon. If Geno is gone then we need to draft Patterson.

I see this draft going two ways.

Either

1. Geno Smith
2. Deandre Hopkins/Terrance Williams/Robert Woods/Stedman Bailey

or

1. Cordarrelle Patterson
2. Ryan Nassib/Tyler Wilson/Mark Glennon/EJ Manuel

at #8??? He'd surely be there when we pick again at #41

I have a feeling that someone will trade up to 3 and grab Geno. Either you guys or Zona are logical canadates. The Raiders are so far from winning now and lacking depth at so many positions there is no way that we draft Geno. We could trade down, aquire picks and draft the best player available at OT or DT. I have a feeling this will happen. I would also love to see CP dealt on draft day and we roll with Pryor. Nothing to lose and CP isnt leading to a super bowl...

I can gurantee we won't, Nix values draft picks a lot. It is no secret, he hates to give them up. Also he said in his call with the Bucs GM that he would like to add more if anything. We only have 6 this year.

I don't see the Cardinals trading up either. NFL Network reported that they probably wouldn't take a QB even if Geno is there at 7.

I'd like to trade back to about 15.

Tavon Austin/Patterson
Tyler Wilson/EJ Manuel

If we couldn't trade back.
Dee milliner... Don't think he will be there but in this scenario I'd take him.

I would be ok with that.

My first choice in draft would be
1. Geno Smith
2. DeAndre Hopkins/Terrence Williams/Justin Hunter

If Geno isn't there @8 ...
1. Cordalle Patterson
2. EJ Manuel/Matt Barkley

I'm all in on Geno but if we can't take him the only guy I'd consider is Cordarrelle Patterson unless Milliner or Jordan are there.

Then we take the best available QB, hopefully E.J. Manuel or Tyler Wilson.

My dream situation would be Geno at 8 and Justin Hunter at 41.

Gotta agree with this.

I'm probably the closest to your response...no Geno, then I want a rush LB at #8. IMO there are far fewer quality OLB's that can provide a real pass rush than there are quality WR's, so I'd strike early while there were still some available.

I agree that he hates to give up picks, but he's also said that if we need to trade up for a franchise QB we would.

We also gave up a draft pick for a QB that was never even active for us last year...

Anything is possible at this point.

I just hope Buffalo doesn't take Nassib at 8.
