I am seriously questioning the front office. This is rediculous.

How much is Spaeth paying us to take him?

He caught 6 passes last season, you mean one of our TE's, Pope or Paulson, can't do better than that?

Come back off the ledge.

He isnt a lock to make the team.

The Steelers dont go into the draft with empty spots. If we draft someone, there is a good chance he doesnt make it.

I dont like the signing, but I knew Steeler fans would be looking for the cyanide caps.

Wow... Still don't get why they got rid of Saunders to keep Pope... Now we bring back the person we replaced with Saunders.

Would have rather signed Kellen Davis

I don't know why some of you are freaking out, Spaeth isn't being brought in to start. He is being brought in to replace Leonard Pope as the 3rd tight. Last season Pope had a whooping 3 catches for 9 yards and 2 touchdowns.

This is what this teams does, they bring in players they know to fill positions of need. So come draft time they can draft the BPA.

Saunders was suspended for 4 games, and since he hadnt really shown much, they cut him and signed Pope. And they also reportedly like Paulsen.

Id rather have Saunders than Spaeth, but Saunders has never proven to be any better than Spaeth, Paulsen or Pope. Saunders is all potential and really didnt do anything to secure a roster spot.

Lol I like the cyanide caps reference...

I'm not freaking out, nor do I really care who our 3rd TE will be but just not thrilled with the continued recycling of former players.

I thought gay was a solid nickel to bring back cheap, but Spaeth didn't do anything before and not expecting anything now.

I remember the Saunders situation, my point was that didn't see the sense in releasing him to keep Pope. Pope was the 3rd TE and I'd rather have a guy with potential riding the bench than a vet that wasnt going to contribute.

It's in the past so no point rehashing it, just didnt agree with the decision when it happened
