Congratulations guys, 99%of Cards fans will tell you nothing but good about this guy. He has slowed down a bit but he is still a playmaker. He's a helluva player and an even better fighter. Great pickup guys!
thank u, i wish you nothing but joy and good luck with your new management. on the flip side, brian hoyer might make a decent 1-year rental qb option for the cards

We needed a veteran safety like Adrian Wilson. Hope he can impact our young safeties like the way Rodney Hattoson did

Hope Wilson can capture some old form for us. Considering our veteran presence in the Secondary last year was Gregory. I think this is an upgrade.

I'm hoping to see plenty of Wilson in the box, marshaling short routes (not in man coverage, obviously) and the run and DMC at CF.

***Update***
Quote:
Per a league source, Adrian Wilson signed a 3-year deal with the Patriots worth $5m. He got a $1m signing bonus. Has a $1m base in '13.

Not necessarily starter money.

I wouldn't read into starter vs. backup based on his contract figures. He's at the tail end of his career, he's made his money, and its pretty clear he wants a ring.

Awesome, veteran presence in a position of need and it came out relatively cheap

Wilson has already talked with a few Patriots, including Kyle Arrington--said he's trying to get Arrington's No. 24.

Laughing Nice.

Just give it to him, Kyle. It's Ty Laws number anyway.

For real. No matter who wears it its always Ty Law in my heart. At least give it to a guy whose worn it his whole career.

If A-Dub gets 24, then Arrington will want to go back to 27, which would then mean T-Dub will want a new number. It's chaos! Chaos, I tells ya!

That cannot be more than a thousand dollars. Of course, Arrington does now make more money than Wilson...

Big box of pampers can go for almost 30 bucks, at least at the store I work at. And babies poop a lot, I'd say it's over 1g. If he offers to buy the kid's formula to there's no way Arrington says no.

Arrington just got a $6.5M signing bonus within the last week. I don't think a few thousand dollars worth of baby supplies is going to sway him. If he's willing to give it up for a few thousand, then he'd probably be willing to give it up for free.

Yes. Usually in these situations the newcomer is on a huge contract and is trying to buy a number off rookie/youngster/special team player. In this case, Wilson is on a (relatively) small contract and Arrington just got paid big bucks. Arrington should just let Wilson buy him dinner O Ya (if he is a sushi guy) or Grill 23 (if he is a steak guy) and call it even.

Maybe Adrian can just punk him into it then?
