Cool. Definitely softens the blow of losing Knighton.

Quote:
Joe: Gerald McCoy always says he wouldn't be the player he is without Miller.

Cosell: Well, essentially [the Bucs] play an underfront and McCoy is the three-technique and Miller is the nose-shade. And in that kind of defense, the nose-shade will not put up stats. The nose-shade often gets double-teamed; the nose-shade allows a guy like Lavonte David to run free. That is his job. His job is to stalemate and defeat double-teams, eat up blocks. Roy Miller will not appear on the stat sheet. That is not a reflection of anything that he is about as a player.

I like this signing. He and Mosely will pair nicely, assuming Alualu will be moving to end on run downs. Those three with a LEO is a nice-looking front. With the quality defensive linemen available next month, the front seven can come together into a quality unit so long as Daryl or his replacement come in.

Mosley and Miller both fit as the 1 tech in our scheme. We still need a 3 tech.

I have come to notice that I have overlooked his play. HE seems to be a better player, then I expected. He is no Brandon Mebane, but he possibly could fill the role of Alan Branch.

I really like the signing, he is a quality player. We need to be looking to add solid players like him in free agents. No need to be looking to sign the star players.

But if teams pass on 1st/2nd down we wont be able to get after the QB really

That is the Leo's sole responsibility. So trust him!

Pray
