Steelers RFA WR Emmanuel Sanders visiting Patriots today. Pats could sign him to offer sheet that cap-strapped Steelers struggle to match.

He received an original pick tender, 3rd round pick... it will cost us that to get him plus a contract.

Not worth it IMO. He had decent production as a #3 last year, but only when he had free release off the line. The Pats need a guy who can beat press coverage.

Disagree actually, little production and he is more of a slot guy then an outside receiver who can beat press or get deep.

And it will cost a 3rd round pick when we only got 5 picks in the draft? no thanks.

If we did sign him, I'd think this means Lloyd would be out the door.

When are we supposed to cut Lloyd by again?

Ooh, I like it. I'm a fan of Sanders. He can get vertical, has ST versatility, and can play any WR position.

I still would rather keep the third round pick, but Sanders could be a really good fit in our offensive scheme, and he's a young talent who could develop into a great complement for Gronknandez.

A third seems way too high for a guy that hasn't produced at a high level in the league. Much rather go after a top prospect in the draft if this is the alternative.

sign me up, i think i mocked sanders to us a while ago. not crazy about giving up the third round pick but the talent along with the (potential) production (with new england) could be worth it (for a proven commodity as opposed to a rookie third round pick).

I will say that I'd rather go for Wheaton + another guy in the draft, but Sanders has a ton of upside.

Cheapness over a third round pick now? You're only saying this because you're putting yourselves at the helm of the draft salivating over player x. Let's not act like that's how it works. BB hasn't exactly killed it in the draft, especially when evaluating WR's

His third round picks

Jake Bequette
Stevan Ridley
Ryan Mallett
Taylor Price
Tyrone Mckenzie
Shawn Crable
Kevin O'Conell
David Thomas
Nick Kaczur

Gus Scott
Brock Williams
J.R. Redmond

bold = exception

His WR's

Jeremey Ebert
Taylor Price
Brandon Tate
Julian Edelman
Matt Slater
Chad Jackson
P.K. Sam
Bethel Johnson
Deion Branch
David Givens

If NE over does it on a contract for Emmanuel, I will listen to the complaints. Complaining about giving up a third round pick is silly. He's not 36, he's 26 and Emmanuel is a proven NFL player.

Basically comes down to Emmanuel Sanders versus Josh Boyce to me. Id be happy either way, but they should get at least one of them.

Pretty much how I feel.

If this was a third in any other year I would be saying yes.

No no no no no. Only good thing about this is it leaves the Steelers with only Brown and Plax at receiver.

Why not?

If people are scared about giving up the draft pick, Belichick hasn't exactly been money in the 3rd round. His only really big hit has been Ridley.
