Freeney is already in New England. This isn't Abraham vs Freeney. Both could be added.

I have noticed that every team but the patriots is reported as "expected to sign" a player when they host that player. Obviously those teams do not always sign the guy they are hosting, but the media still speculates that they will. The media does not speculate that patriots are expected to sign.

Abraham and Freeney combined have 229.5 career sacks.

I think it's... What is it? Boom goes the dynamite? BOOM goes Dwight Freeney and John Abraham on your plans of winning against the Pats!

I can see the BB plans now. Sign Abraham and Freemey. Then use a sub package with nothing but defensive ends, confuse the heck out of the QB.

Definitely would like this and the Abraham signing if we get both deals done. We need more veteran presences on defense and we need more guys that "scare" offenses. I don't care if both come in primarily as 3rd down pass rushers. Both can still rush the passer at a high rate and both can still create problems for opposing O-Lines.

Please let this be the signing if they're going to bring in a veteran pass rusher. One of the best athletes at the position still, with a lot left in the tank in my estimation. He and Jones would tear it up on third downs.

If we get either Abraham or Freeney, I'll be very happy. We could sign both
Bedard said, like BP brought up.

Don't like the prospect of signing both Abraham and Freeney. I think that would be too much resources put into the DE position (considering we used 2 draft picks on Chandler Jones last year) when we have holes at DT, Coverage LB and Depth on D.

Think we should go with one or the other (Abraham is my choice) then look to improve other areas.

Still think the Broncos pull the trigger on Freeney though.
