He is cool for a rotational player.

In the mold of a Dave Ball. Could sneak and get you 7-8 sacks with good surrounding cast.

Most likely a 3-5 Sack guy. plays the run well from my understanding.

Not the name many want to hear, with Freeney and Abraham out there still.

He's a pretty crappy pass rusher, but decent against the run. Would be decent depth behind Morgan.

I would rather have Dwight Freeney, or John Abraham, Instead of This guy. Bring more to the belt.

I knew we'd atleast take a look at him. I, for one, would love if we were to sign him. He may not be the big name that some wanted but he's still a quality guy who fits the bill of what the coaching staff is looking for. He also is still pretty young and will be able to play some DT for us.

Jim Wyatt keeps insisting the Titans aren't interested in Osi, Abe or Freeney. That they are more interested in a bigger and stronger player. Matt Shaughnessy fits that. Wyatt is generally reliable. I think they anticipate Ayers being a big player in the pass rush this year.

I am fine with it if they sign him. He could play the early run downs opposite Morgan and that would free up Wimbley to pass rush on passing downs. He also could slide inside and play DT. He is not Osi, Abraham or Freeney, but IMO they can grab a pass rusher in the draft in the 2nd or 3rd round. If he leaves Phoenix without a contract make it happen Ruston.
Cool

Matt Shaughnessy signing one year deal in Arizona.
Little disappointed to be honest.

Me too. Sad

I know they said we wouldn't but I wonder if we make a move for Abraham, Osi or any of the other veteran DEs out there.

Well Wyatt reported that we are not targeting any of them and we are looking for a bigger DE.

I just check back on the NFL.com and the titans are not looking at him anymore. So we must be looking at someone else.
