Ok, so what if Buffalo or the Jets trade up to #3 and draft [Geno Smith] ahead of us. Then what?

This may very well happen after his pro day performance. I think he just solidified himself as a top 5 pick. If that happens, we take Dion Jordan or a tackle. If we take Dion Jordan, we'll be trading Trent Cole...to the Jags for a 6th maybe? If we sign a Tackle like Voellmer before the draft, we would either take Jordan, Milliner, Floyd, or Warmack. All of them make sense because they could realistically overtake their predecessor's starting spot.

You just listed every prospect I would hate at #4

I never liked Geno Smith. I warmed up to him a little recently, but after seeing this reel against WVU I wouldn't draft the guy in the 1st round.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j-oCe2E9Nuw
You can see him attempt out patterns from the opposite hash, one time it's intercepted and another time it was almost a pick 6 for like an 85 yard TD. I only like QBs in the 1st round that can literally make all of the throws without exception. Geno Smith can't make all of the throws. He can make most of them. But most people don't know what making all of the throws means. That type of person believes that Kolb can make all of the throws. His athletic ability is also overrated. He's a pocket passer. End of story.

@0:40 - Missed an incredibly wide open crossing receiver.

As long as it isn't Luke, I'm good.

wouldn't be surprised if it's geno… vick's on a 1 yr deal and we have no QB of the future on this roster.

I love dion… but could also see a corner, OL or 5 tech… . free agency hasn't narrowed down any of the possibilities

I still like Foles, hopefully he gets a chance to prove himself.

How could you hate a physical and talented corner, a hometown DT/DE, an athletic pass rusher, or a sure thing guard? Who besides them would make sense at #4 in that situation?

Gentlemen I provided the previous 6 links into the OP. This thread along with any future draft threads will be placed in the archives as one thread with 7-10 links!

Xavier Rhodes is better than Milliner. I think Trufant is too. No CB is ever worth #4 overall unless you already have a pass rush in place. The Jets sucked on D with the best CB in football because they can't force bad passes.
Floyd is so overrated it's ridiculous.
Jordan is a complete mystery at the NFL level and has no college production doing what we will ask him to do.
Larry Warford will be just as good in the NFL as Warmack and he can be had in early round 2 most likely.

Thanks Nabbs and McMc.

I'm honestly taking a close look at Fisher and Lane Johnson at #4. Best value for draft slot there IMO. Although trading back 3 or 4 spots to get Johnson would be most ideal.

Then a CB or S in the 2nd.

None of those players will matter IMO if a OT is not added via FA. I think the eagles are perfectly fine right now adding any of the three listed below for the next decade if it falls that way without a trade down.
Luke
Eric
Lane

I couldn't stand listening to Ike Reese's stroking of Geno on the radio today. Everyone who called in and disagreed with him, all he would come back with was "4,000+ yards and 70% completion rate". And he had the nerve to say people weren't making good arguments when all his arguments were stats.
