He's lost a step but still a better kick returner than anyone the Pats have had for years |

Yup, he will do well here. Also interested to see him out of the backfield. Excluding Demps, Washington is much faster than anybody else we have. _________________ A sunny disposition is worth more than fortune. Much rather have signed Edelman. Seems like a waste to have Washington be a KR/PR only (we already have enough backs) _________________

My thoughts exactly. Solid veteran to have on your team as well. |

Well Slater has been used on returns, albeit sparringly. He is also more a ST than a WR but why have 2 WR's on roster who are mostly ST, even if one is a returner?
Demps is mostly likely gone now, and Woody might also be left in the cold. _________________

Does Washington, outside of adding a better returner, have any Sproles/Faulk (Kevin) in him at? Being quick, agile and can come from backfield and do a version of what WW did in the receiving game. With him and Amendola, is it possible we can replace WWs catches/numbers from elsewhere? _________________

Might be the end of Danny Woodcock rather than Edelman. _________________

Ya that's more what I was thinking too. I hope they still resign Edelman
Vereen is ready to replace Woodhead as a rb. Having Leon as a KR/PR ( unless Edelman is back) and a backup RB isn't a bad deal ... assuming it isnt for much money |

Why would this mean the end of Edelman? Edelman does literally everything for you. Washington will be used in the return game and possibly in the backfield sparingly.
Edelman gives you great ST play, good PRing, serviceable receiving, emergency DB, ettcetcetctetcec
edit: used literally just for you, mcmurtry _________________

it doesn't make sense to me to ditch edelman. if we're going to kick the tires on vet min type of WRs, why wouldn't we bring back one of the more productive guys we've had on offense recently who already fits in?
and that's not even bringing up what he does for you everywhere else. i'm going to be disappointed if edelman isn't resigned. _________________

I highly doubt theyre ditching Edelman now guys, we need him for a variety of reasons not including having one injury prone slot type receiver to fill in for the other, amendola! |
