Oh well. He just wasn't the same guy after the microfracture surgery. At least in my opinion.

Agree. Still a good player when healthy though. I don't actually think is a big loss.

Didn't you franchise him in FFMD? Laughing

His deal is only worth 2 million

Wow. This either means the Giants really don't have faith in his health or he didn't like the way he was treated in NY (or a combination of the two).

A healthy Phillips is worth a lot more then that. Im guessing our doctors werent the only ones skeptical about his knees.

I remember reading months ago that he blamed the Giants medical staff for his issues this season.

Thats probably the reason, i read that he turned down a long term contract from us and decided to test FA.

That's a bummer. That means he's likely pretty healthy meaning they got a bargain for him and he will play well for them. Damn Giants. Why'd you have to treat my Kenny poorly Confused

i'm not sure i read it that way at all. the league has shown that they are willing to pay for productive and healthy DBs- look at DRC's one year deal at $5M, the William Moore and Dashon Goldson contracts. The fact that KP is playing for $2M makes little sense unless other team doctors took exception with how his knees checked out as well...
