Thats the most solid group of linebackers i think we've ever had. As long as Graham goes ok

You think that Graham starts at SAM??? I don't think that he has that skill set honestly. He would need to be better in pass coverage.
Nah Barwin at SAM and either Cole or Graham at PREDATOR.

Either way our DE's all need to cut weight

I'm sure they could drop some weight, but at the end of the day if the PRED position is used for rushing the passer and/or setting the edge, that's essentially what they've been doing their entire careers. Dropping 10-15 pounds won't change much with them, the only change is that they'll be rushing from a 2-point stance as opposed to a 3-point/4-point stance.

It's funny because Graham worked so hard the past few years to gain weight, which he did. Poor kid.

No he didn't. He was out of shape. He was told to lose weight entering last season. He said he played at 280lbs his 2nd season. He has no problem gaining weight, he will be a Duce Staley/McNabb type man once his playing days are over.

I just searched for the reports:

Eagles Defensive End Brandon Graham Blames Weight Gain On Philly Cheesesteaks
Quote:
http://www.thepostgame.com/node/3356 The 2010 first-round draft pick tore his ACL last December and spent two months on crutches. His weight jumped from 270 to 290 during his recovery. He has a culprit, though. "You know what got me real big? The Philly cheesesteaks," Graham told the appropriately named Philly.com. "Jim's. That's all I eat."

Don't these players have dieticians or set meal plans?

It's crazy to me that an NFL player who's not an O-lineman would eat Cheesesteaks on a regular basis.

We have one now. The combination of Strength And Conditioning coach Josh Hingst, plus Sports Science Coordinator Shaun Huls will teach the proper diet and training for our guys. Very Happy

Phew.

I got a bit mad then. Probably the fact I'm trying to eat clean in my average life and this guy is living it up in the NFL chomping on delicious cheesesteaks!

Money info:

Quote:
@MikeGarafolo: Kenny Phillips' deal with the Eagles: 1 year, $1.85m; up to another $1m in incentives.

The other 1M is per game roster bonus.

So much hatred going on over this deal right now. The Eagles got an absolute steal here. If I were Kenny Phillips I would have fired my agent if that's the best deal he came back with.

Dude would've been kicking rocks.

I think it means that teams are very worried about his knees.

That's the thing though....there haven't been any reports saying he's not medically cleared. He had a minor knee injury this year but he came back and played. the year before (2011) he played great and showed he was completely passed the recovery stage.

Idk....I'm just really baffled over this situation. The Giants go out and sign Ryan Mundy for about only mill less but don't bring back the younger, better, more familiar with the scheme, team leader and first round talent?

Anyway...congrats. You guys got a real good player for next to nothing.

Thanks for the update, as I was looking forward to seeing the terms of the deal. This type of contract makes me happier about giving him the chance to prove himself for 2013.

I still think we draft a safety anywhere from the the 3rd to the 5th round.

Source confirmed #s on Kenny Phillips. No guaranteed money. $1 million roster bonus (has to make team) and $850,000 base in 2013.

Not a single dollar in guaranteed cash. That is a little surprising too.
