To me, as low as his pay is low, this is a very good depth signing. Not gonna push Ponder out of the way unless he self destructed this year, an will be at least passable if Christian goes down. Hooray to our first non-team signing!

Logical fit. Cassel wasn't going to land a starting job anywhere so Minnesota brings him in as a viable backup. It also means the the team won't have to switch up their whole gameplan if Ponder were to miss time.

Exactly the backup QB we need..someone to push Ponder to make sure he's staying on top of his game.. also that someone that can come in due to injury and be able to pick up where we left off..
So who's cut? Webb or MBT?
Or do we try the Joe Webb WR Project again?
