What a fun sounding vacation.

Agreed, not sure why people give it a bad rap. Minneapolis is a fantastic city and the state of MN is an outdoorsmans/nature lovers paradise. Its not for everyone, but it sure could be a heck of a lot worse.

yes they did. Dwayne Bowe did a pretty darn good job helping out Matt too with those 15 TDs in 2010

fools. Hey we have this crappy QB who can't throw the ball down the field. Let's pick up one exactly like him only less athletic and more sucky to be his backup!

I would laugh, but the exact same could be said about the Chiefs replacing Cassel with Alex Smith. Embarassed

That is relevant how? Just more garbage posting.

As for this signing, I like it for Minny. Cassel isn't someone that is going to have a lot of fanfare which means almost no pressure for him to take reps away from Ponder. But then if Ponder absolutely face plants to begin the year, they have a pretty accomplished guy in house to take over.

Don't understand how you can compare Grossman favourably to Cassel at all. Cassel has definitely shown that given a stable team he can not lose you games, maybe even win you some. Grossman has never had a year even close to as good as Cassel in 08 or 10.

He's a perfectly good back-up, and I'd much rather have him than Grossman.

Brady Quinn or Rex Grossman would've probably been a better 'reaction'...

Nice try,

but no.

You can look up their respective career stats and see why you're wrong.

NFCC win.

Grossman: 1
Cassel: 0

Stafford: 0

Not sure how Stafford got in this conversation. Please stick to the subject at hand.

You're argument literally makes no sense.

NFC Championship games.

Cassell played for New England and Kansas City.

Neither of those teams are in the NFC.

Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Ben Roethlisberger, Joe Flacco, Matt Ryan, Michael Vick, Tony Romo, Jay Cutler, (Matt Stafford), Josh Freeman, Alex Smith and Sam Bradford have never helped their team get past the NFC Championship game...

So I guess that means they're all worse than Grossman, right?

Laughing

try again.

It means Rex Grossman is an experienced veteran with playoff experience and if you guys seriously can't understand that then have fun with Cassel!

but that still doesn't make Grossman any more valuable/expierenced than other QBs.

Grossman was terrible throughout his career. Just because his defense/ST carried his team to the SB back in 06 doesn't mean we should recognize him as a great QB! He's barely average!

I'm glad Minnesota isn't giving up on Ponder and not just because I'm a Bears fan.

The guy can play, just give him someone to throw to besides Kyle Rudolph. I really believe they should have went after Danny Amendola despite what they think they have in Jarius Wright. If Davone Bess gets released, he would also make a ton of sense as an underneath option for Ponder.

I'm looking for them to draft a player like DeAndre Hopkins, Robert Woods, Tavon Austin or Stedman Bailey.

If I'm choosing between 2 awful QB's to be my backup QB I'm going to choose the one who is already a backup, won't cost as much, and has playoff experience.

I was more or less being sarcastic, I have no problem with Minneapolis. It just doesn't have the draw to be a huge vacationing place.
