Tisch says Giants working on David Diehl pay cut similar to Webster's with bonus & voidable year. "I think he's an asset," he said of Diehl.

sigh. other than versatility and being a vet who knows the system, what does he bring.

He brings a shorter life-span for Eli. Who would have thought that even after being a terrible O-line player and getting a DUI the Giants would literally turn around and say "Yep we want him back".

He must have a Jedi Mind trick or dirt on the Giants, Only possible answer at this point. Mad

In the event that Boothe gets signed by another team, the worst part is that Coughlin will give him every chance to win a starting job at both LG and RT. Le sigh.

It bothers me that Diehl is still on the team... he should have been released last year. I think Giants' front office loves Diehl a little bit too much to let him go so I sure as hell hope they realize it's time up for Diehl sometime after this season.

The Giants and David Diehl finally reached agreement on his contract, lowering his 2013 salary from $4.475 million to just $1 million. #NYG

Quote:
It appears, at first glance, that Diehl's deal is a straight pay cut, with no added years to his contract.

Baas and Snee are overpaid as well. Pay cuts for everyone on the offensive line! (Except for Beatty)

Based on the details of the pay cut- his cap hit would now be $3,350,000 ($1m plus bonuses) and the penalty would still be $2,078,125. He could still be cut, but we at least get the needed cap relief now.

Yeah we arent cutting him to save one million when his contract is up next year.

Snee needs a paycut as well, but isnt this his last contract year or is he under untill 2015?

Snee has this year and a void able year next year. $11mill cap hit for him is ridiculous. I think he needs to be resigned to a 3 year more team friendly deal. It's not fair others taking pay cuts on a lot less than him because he is family
