I know NBT is on board with this idea, but what do the rest of you think of the idea of tendering him? It wouldn't cost a draft pick since he went undrafted and has an original round tender. He played in the McDaniels offense in 2011 and did a decent job as their only real deep ball target [26 catches for 431 yards and 2 TDs in 10 games], but obviously his history with knee injuries would be a big concern.
What would he be worth to this team? _________________

I would love to have him healthy but
Alexander
Amendola
Hernandez
Gronkowski
That's a LOT of missed games over the past few seasons.... _________________

The tower of power is a beast. we should do it.
Then draft Patterson.
And Hunter.
And sign Moss. _________________ A sunny disposition is worth more than fortune. Young people should know that it can be cultivated; that the mind like the body can be moved from the shade into sunshine. Thine own reproach alone do fear |

Maybe a one year deal. I'd look at DHB, Ogletree, Louis Murphy, or Brandon Gibson first. |

I don't think he is going anywhere. _________________

No trade compensation is a huge aspect of this. He's basically a free agent. I would love to see him in red white and blue _________________

He looks great in red, white and blue.
Check out his old uniform with the Rams:

Problem is coming up with a contract that San Diego wouldn't match.
Anything that fits that description is probably too much financial risk for a guy with his knee problems.
At this point though, money seems to be available. If they're going with the dumpster dive approach on defense, they'd have money to take chances on someone like Alexander (though I suspect they will use that money instead to re-sign Vollmer). |

His point was that he wants to see money go to defense and not Alexander (or thinks defense should be addressed before another WR). |

I know Murts, I was playfully trying to make it seem like I didn't know what "defense" was. Joke fail. _________________ A sunny disposition is worth more than fortune. I'd also like to take a shot on him if we can't sign DHB over making an offer sheet to Sanders. He strung together a nice season in SD this year. Still will want a WR in the draft. |
