I agree with this thought. I really hope this deal benefits both Cliff and the team. But overall, we desperately needed pass rush and we just got some.

Unbelievable signing. Clemons is on a contract year coming off a ACL tear in January and now we got perhaps the most coveted pass rusher on the market for our LEO spot. It's going to be nasty to see Avril and Irvin together. I'm shocked we were able to land him considering he's likely relegated to backup duties, but I guess we'll see about that.
Perfect player/scheme fit.

I figure that Pete doesn't feel that Clem will be a certainty to be back and at 100% by the start of the season. Also Avril will easily beat out Bruce to start at LEO in case Clem isn't back.

Abraham is going to be awful as a 3-4 rush LB, so by all means tell your FO to keep signing guys that don't fit the scheme (i.e. Glenn Dorsey).

balke does the do.
abrham wouldnt be dropping into coverage (i think). he would come in on dime situations and put his hand in the dirt
hoping you guys overpaid. but i doubt it. probably a great deal. surprised he chose seattle though.
