I just on the Elway's State of the Broncos report that Kuper's dead money is 2.7 million and will likely not be cut.

The same article quoted Elway and in regards to Stokley. He basically implied we were moving on without him.

I noticed the Saints have yet to sign Chris Ivory...with just $3.3M left on their cap, he's an awful expensive 4th back....

there is still hope IMO...

That's because they tendered him at a 2nd round pick. Nobody is going to give that up for Ivory. They'd be lucky to get a 7th for him. He has only played in 12 games over the past 2 years and has never played more than 12 games (his rookie year.)

My point was he is taking up a $2M chunk of their salary cap...which I doubt the will sign him to, being he's going to be their 4th rb. They will probably relinquish the tender and possible release him. I'd like to see him in Denver

If they like him enough to put a 2nd round tender on him why would they just end up releasing him? The guy is made of glass anyways. I'm actually rooting for Jeremiah Johnson to be our 4th RB next season. Have always seen potential in him, and would also be a very cost efficient move.

Well, it looks like the Broncos are looking at Ahmad Bradshaw right now:

On a Bronco forum, some people suggested moving Kuper to center:

People really underestimate the importance of snapping the ball consistently well. He only has played OT and OG IIRC.

Its to bad they dont just bring stokely back and cut him a TC paycheck and work w/ some of WRs short term. Also emergency WR for worst case scenario. Though they probably will get another in the draft(imo they'd be fools to not take advantage of this great depth in this class).

Nope, never played tackle and he's been the back up long snapper since he's been here.

Are you sure? I'm pretty sure he played some OT at North Dakota.
But LSer and normal snapping is different(if they werent LSers would just be C). backup LSer is an emergency role that at most is a 1 game thing.

Ya know, he might've played OT in college. Not sure but I can find out.

As far as a LS, the kid can deliver a bullet for FG's and punts. I seriously doubt though that him being a center is in the Bronco's mind.

Blake however should be ready to challenge for some playing time. He's a load as a blocker. Just had some early hard times with the mental aspect and a bit of a challenge with snaps. I'd guess those are cured.

In case one of the injuries turns out to be lengthy, the only proven vets still out there are:

CB

Sheldon Brown
Nate Clements
Stanford Routt

DL

Mark Anderson
Anthony Hargrove
Ma'ake Kemoeatu
Amobi Okoye
Richard Seymour
Kyle Vanden Bosch
Corey Williams

OG

Cooper Carlisle
