NTs are rotational guys. Being a starter at NT doesn't mean you're playing a majority of the snaps. _________________

He's going to be a starter for us, but we might need to keep him fresh & rotate guys in. For a 1 year deal, it's worth signing someone who stops the run, even if it's not on a every snap basis. I'm tired of seeing our defense be run over every year. |
the guy has only one played 16 games, most he's started has been 8. I can't see him providing much for us. _________________

Which is why it's a one year deal _________________

Exactly. Those stats show how much influence he had on the run games in Cincy. _________________

In my opinion they are a joke. In the last ten years there drafts sucked. | #clueless |

1 year deal. Low risk-high reward. Your concern is valid, but it really isn't a big deal with how long he's signed for & what he brings to the table when he is on the field.
I see this as a trial year for him. We want to see what he does before making a big investment. _________________

I understand it's low risk and only a year but the worry is that a quarter through the season the guy is injured and done leaving us is trouble. Beggars can't be choosers though so it's not that big of a problem. _________________

Houston has no reason to move inside. He's undersized. He's playing just fine in his position.
On Sims:
Like the signing. Big NT to eat up space. Guessing Floyd will be playing next to him w/ Bilukidi rotating in. _________________

Absolutely a rotational guy. And a guy that will stay in his lane literally. We don't have to worry about him being a stat greedy guy in terms of sacks like so many of our former DT's. So if he can give us some snaps and help stop the run he will have earned his one year contract. _________________

I'm excited to see Sims play but who knows if he'll stay healthy. If he actually plays he can help our run D a ton. _________________ (MLB)=A's, (NFL)=Raiders, (NBA)= Warriors

How is Houston undersized hes played DT pretty much his whole life ?
Dennis Allen and Reggie has done said Houston maybe moving inside 4 sacks don't cut it at DE. _________________

| Houston would make for a nice UT, he's not undersized 6'3 300 and he's strong as hell, his quickness will help him be disruptive also...Love the Pat Sims pick up... |
