5th round at the most. 10 year vet, see Alan Faneca...

Should see some Orlovsky vs Manziel this week in the battle of "who's less aware of their surroundings"

Orlovsky has too much experience here. Manziel doesn't stand a chance.

Only if they lose significantly more in free agency then they sign.

Something none of the Pats fans who want Welker gone would want.

Brady must hate him now.

Two dropped catches in consecutive years to deny him a ring (maybe two)...

And now he could bail to Peyton Manning Laughing

Actually I think Brady is only Patriot or Pat fan that doesn't hate him. Dudes a loyal bro.

And after I ramble on and on in the Pats forum about how no one is going to pay Welker just to be a third WR...someone goes and does just that. Darn.

I'm not so sure Welker will look like the same player we all know without Tom and that type of offense. Perhaps

Denver's offense isn't all that different.

Filed to ESPN: Broncos in serious talks, trying to hammer out an agreement with Patriots WR Wes Welker. Decision expected today.

The main card that the Patriots have over Welker is Tom Brady... the Broncos have close to the same level of a QB in Peyton Manning which could be enough to draw the slot machine away from New England.

The Patriots reportedly made a low offer to Wes Welker, low enough to make Welker shutdown talks with the Patriots since yesterday.
cmon billy, I know you're better than this.

Not true. Denver runs a real vanilla offense which is very much unlike New England, one of the best things they do is using formations and receiver distribution to get receivers in mismatches.

if he has signed with any other team I might agree with you. But he will fit it well with Denver.

He and Peyton can develop a similar chemistry that he and Brady had.

Sorry, I wasn't clear there. New England do a good job of doing what I described. Denver on the otherhand, are totally vanilla.
