There were a bunch of reasons why things didn't work out in New York for Greene, but hopefully getting a chance to start over with the Titans could change his career for the better.

He'll be put in a situation where he's no longer the starter, but will still get his fair share of carries. Neither he or Chris Johnson will wear out through the season sharing carries. Greene should find a good role to play in Tennessee's backfield, and that's why this signing could turn out to be a great one.

Right now my biggest concern would be how dedicated he is to playing. I saw high potential in this guy when he first entered in the league, but slowly through the years he seemed to fade out. If he can recommit himself back to football, then Tennessee will have a dang good 1-2 punch.

He is terrible, therefore a perfect complement to CJ? Huh?

He was trying to be witty and failed.

I'm missing the witty part of it. Or even evidence of an attempt.

I don't know, I chuckled.

Ah I see. Greene should be solid in a backup role, the o-line should be somewhat of a strength this year (assuming we draft a right guard in the first 3 rounds).

In all fairness to Greene, he was the running back in an offense that was bad. Specifically the passing offense was terrible, so teams could key the run all day long. Despite that, the guy still managed 1000 yards.

As a change of pace, late game back he could be very effective.

Maaaaaaaaaaaaan stop. You have no idea how many hundreds of yards he left up because of just how slow he was and him constantly trying to run over players instead of around them.

I have no idea? I havent missed a Jets game in years. HE is certainly capable of being a good COP bruiser type to CJ. Line BAckers are going to get winded trying to run down CJ and Greene will have no problem running them over late in games.

Technically yes... BUT by laws of playoff football, The Andrew Lucks lost to the Quarterbackbowl 47 winning Joe Flaccos. Whereas the Russel Wilsons lost to the Matt Ryans, who didnt even beat the Colin Kaepernicks.

A backup role is perfect for Greene, keeps him off the field more.

He can certainly wear down defenses in a sense. Most of his "trucking" though also brings himself to the ground because he loses balance in order to deliver a hit (for an additional 3 yards sometimes). So he'll never ever break a big run but he'll hit people for you and get some tough yards.

Jets fans hate him in an over-the-top way. He's not my favorite RB but he's not nearly as bad as he's made out to be.

Its hard to wear down a defense when youre getting 3-5 carries per game as a backup. Just ask Toby Gerhart, who is as ineffective as they come as a backup reliever.

This is a horrible signing for the Titans. You should look to the draft to find backup RBs, not overpay for vets .

He doesn't have time to make sure that his jokes make sense. He has to bring his sterling analysis to the next thread as fast as possible.
